What to Expect During my Sessions

Contrary to a lot of information on the internet regarding colon hydrotherapy, colon hydrotherapy is not a one session "cure all". Your colon is like any other muscle, and requires strengthening. Imagine a hose that is kinked in multiple places. Even if you turn the water on full blast, you still need to un do the kinks in the hose for the water to flow. We have no idea of knowing the shape or condition of anyones colon that comes in. Lifestyle, diet, illnesses and structure have a major effect on the out come of an individuals session. Even if you are the "healthiest" eater, you still need to strengthen the muscle. Every time you do a colonic, it's like going to the gym for your colon. Over time, that muscle improves, which in turn your sessions will improve.

Your first 1-4 sessions may be uncomfortable and least productive. You may leave feeling worse than when you came in. You may be more tired, and a bit nauseous. During your session, you may have detox symptoms like cramping, nausea, lightheadedness, chills, flu like symptoms, and your legs or hands may shake. All these are part of the process. It is not the colonic that is causing all this, but rather a toxic body. Your colon is like any other muscle. So, even if you have a fairly healthy diet, that muscle still requires strengthening. And this takes time. The stronger the muscle, the more hydrated the organ, the more productive your sessions. Be patient with the process. Our clients that go through a good series experience some amazing outcomes, but it's hard to predict from person to person

We have grown up in a society that promotes a magic pill approach. An approach that is obviously killing us and doing us more harm than good. We want instant gratification and that is why so many companies market to those who are willing to spend high dollar for those instant results. This approach has lowered the value we put in our bodies and our health. For those of you looking for information on colon therapy, and who are wanting to try it, make sure you have a plan. Make sure you get the most out of your sessions that you can. If you’ve never done a good series, it is recommended that you do a minimum of 9-12 to start out with. This is years of toxicity we’re talking about and it will take time to soften and loosen things up. Talk to your colon therapist about different options out there and different programs that will help you achieve your desired results.

What to Expect After my Sessions

It is normal to experience some temporary symptoms after your session as your body continues clearing and adjusting. Common after-effects can include:

• Mild cramping, gurgling, bloating, or gas

• Feeling tired, fatigued, relaxed, or emotional

• Increased thirst or urination

• A delay in bowel movements for 1–3 days afterward (sometimes 5–7 days for those who deal with chronic constipation or sluggish bowels)

• Mild headache or “detox-like” symptoms (sometimes migraines, if you're susceptible).

• Increased mucus/discharge from the colon

• Temporary changes in stool smell, consistency, or appearance

These reactions are typically mild and usually pass within 24–48 hours, although everyone’s body responds differently.

To support your body after your session:

• Drink plenty of water with minerals and electrolytes

• Eat light, nourishing foods

• Rest if your body feels tired

• Avoid heavy meals, alcohol, and excess caffeine for the rest of the day

If you commonly deal with bloating, gas, cramping, or sluggish digestion before or after colonics, our digestive enzymes with Ox Bile and HCL can be a great addition to help support digestion and minimize those symptoms.

If you experience anything that feels more unusual or concerning than what was mentioned above — especially severe pain, fever, vomiting, dizziness, or heavy bleeding — please contact your healthcare provider promptly.

Thank you again for coming in!

General Expectations For Colonics

Many first timers that come in are misinformed when it comes to expectations and results. Many aren’t aware that colonics are there to enhance whatever else they are doing rather than being the end all. Often times first timers are under the impression that they are going to view consistent streams of waste during their first full session and are sorely disappointed when this doesn’t occur. The colon, like any other muscle, takes time to strengthen and tone. Over time your results improve and become more effective. Just like going to the gym, you wouldn’t expect instant weight loss or muscle definition from visiting the gym one time. If anything, it is opposite. Your first work out you are usually sore and fatigued. It takes a while to recover, more so than when your body is stronger. Sometimes you think that you never want to go back. In any healing process, the body usually gets worse before it gets better. If you are an individual who is not planning on making any dietary changes and are just wanting to go in for one session, make sure you know what you are getting in to. If I knew someone who was coming in not planning on making any changes to their diet and lifestyle and they were expecting certain problems to be alleviated during one colon therapy session, I would say it would be a waste of their time and money.
